Any profile that I've created, you are welcome to manage - just ask!

I'm apparently an Asperger's type, not so good at social interaction, but I do try - it's hard work!

I'm very data centered. I believe in evidence-based genealogy, with completely sourced and verified data points, never just copied info from trees. I'm constantly appalled at the low quality of the info in so many trees, and really wish more budding genealogists understood the value of finding and providing evidence for every piece of info - names, dates, places, relations and relationships, etc. Informed speculation unfortunately has its place when evidence is thin, but should be accompanied with explanations. I do my best to follow these principles, and only add data that can be justified, by evidence or best judgment of the available evidence. I do love a challenge, cannot resist thoroughly researching the many mysteries and the confusion we often find in genealogy. But I recognize I can make mistakes too, and very much welcome correction. https://jacoserv.com/blog/do-you-want-to-be-more-right

I do most of my work on FamilySearch, a public and free one world type tree, available to anyone, Mormon or not (I'm not). It has great tools for community editing and sourcing. I use Ancestry.com for many sources - there is no better source collection anywhere. I may browse many trees for ideas, on Ancestry.com, MyHeritage, Geni, Geneanet, and WikiTree. Once I'm confident in a profile being fully and correctly informed and sourced, I like to update the relevant FindAGrave memorials, with as many data points as I'm confident in, and especially link the family connections. I always hope I'm helping future families find out about their ancestors, with info as accurate as I could make it. ( I do confess to being very poor at writing, so I leave stories and bio's to others. I'm sure you are better, so please don't hesitate to add them.)
