The purpose of my work on Find-A-Grave is to glorify God by providing a record of my ancestry for future generations sufficient to help my posterity understand and appreciate how the culture, traditions, values, and Christian faith of their ancestors helped frame who they are today.

"O God, you have taught me from my youth, and to this day I proclaim your marvelous deeds. Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, O God, until I proclaim your power to the next generation, your might to all who are to come." - Psalm 71:17-18

I have several ancestors who served in the Union Army during the Civil War and am a member of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War.
