I am resident in west central Saskatchewan and belong to family lines names Meger, Hoppe, Herschfeld, Reichwald. All families originally were of German origin, arriving in Canada through Volhynia Ukraine around 1910. I enjoy family history research and this past year wrote a 2 volume history and family trees of our historical Emmanuel Lutheran church near Biggar, Saskatchewan. It was a joy looking up as much as I could find (420 pages worth) for the 140 people buried there. What amazing stories came to light!

My cousin and I enjoy visiting cemeteries in the area for road trips out and photograph the markers. Saskatchewan is becoming well covered and available for research. My background is farming and tax preparation as occupations and am currently trying to be retired. Failing quite badly. Enjoy travel - Norway on the list for June!
