I am of French-Canadian parents. I grew up in Sandwich East, Essex County, Ontario, Canada (1941-60) and have been heavily into Essex County Genealogy since I retired in Ottawa, ON, Canada in 2001. I try to visit Essex County for 7-10 days each year to photograph cemetery markers. My main focus has been Lakeview Cemetery (Leamington), St-John-the Baptist Cemetery (Amherstburg), St Clement Cemetery (McGregor) (all 100% as of Sep 2016 and submitted to Genweb) and Ste Anne cemetery (Tecumseh, ON) 100% as of Sep 2016. Have also accummulated many pics of other cemeteries in Essex Co. and have an Essex County connections tree online @ http://chfamilytrees.com/showtree.php?tree=EssexConnections. As Genweb seems to be experiencing long term availability challenges I am looking for alternative sources as well as alternative sites to contribute.
