I have been researching my mother and fathers family for approximately 25+ years. Fathers ancestry from Tavistock Devon UK who arrived in Wellington New Zealand in 1840 also pioneers of South Canterbury. My mother's ancestry, the Hunt family are also from the UK, arriving in Sydney Australia in 1853 and the Easton / Harris families to Sydney in 1841 and Tasmania in 1877.
