Bio

I was born and raised in Bethlehem, PA but moved to CA in my 20's. Jumped back and forth between coasts but eventually settled down in Northern CA. (No humidity!) I did a pretty good job exploring this amazing country in my multiple cross country trips. I love being a tourist. I have one daughter who is a pediatric oncology RN, and this branch of the family ends there. I started doing this for her, but now I'm doing it for me, too. I used to have "I have relatives in Virginia, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania" here, but in 2020. through DNA testing, I discovered that the father who raised me was not my biological father (my mother remains my biological mother). I was never told. So after two years of researching and documenting the Howell/Nelson families in North Carolina and Virginia, I found I was not related and I have to start all over again. Fortunately, my half brother contacted me and I know who my biofather was and they had a great paternal family history already done. Thanks to all the wonderful people who photographed and registered so many of my relatives on this site before I got here. And to the contributors who been of invaluable help to me since. To anyone wondering about my profile picture, it's a photo of a statue of Lucy from Peanuts. She's at the local airport, ready to travel.
