Bio

I began my genealogy journey in 2018 when I was 24 years old, and after a few years of taking a break, I'm ready to get back in the game! However, as much as I would love to explore who all of my great aunts, great uncles, and cousins are— it's overwhelming for me to keep track of all that information, which is why I'm only researching my direct ancestral line.

As well as keeping digital records, I am also making physical copies of everything to be stored in my home office along with family photos and locks of deceased family's hair that I've been entrusted with (yes, I'm aware this is objectively weird— but the Victorians did it and personally, I think my hair collection is cool. So cue the creepy Tim Burton music, I guess).

I am most interested in obtaining photos— so if you come across my bio and happen to have any photos of my family, feel free to message me and we can do a photo swap! That's right, I'm not a photo hoarder! I am currently in the process of uploading all of the photos in my possession onto Ancestry, Family Tree Search, and Find A Grave— but by all means, feel free to request some and I can email them directly to you :)

In the future, I would also love to visit local cemeteries and begin taking pictures of all the graves there that have yet to be uploaded onto Find A Grave. I want to try and help out as much as my health allows me to, because I have been helped so much by all of the people who have spent years of their time putting information on these sites for others, like myself, to find and use.

Who I've researched on my dad's side, up to 6 generations out from me: Lawson, Cook, Allman, Gilman, Nunn, Rice, Wayt, White, Abercrombie, Martin, Wolfe, Sellers, Macy, Cox, Holmes, Shoe, Meador, Vauhn, Ray, Somerville, Evett, Grimes, Shewmake, Thacker, McCarty

Who I've researched on my mom's side, up to 6 generations out from me: Miracle, Burke, Ritter, Fortune, Gatrell, Markle, Morris, Weekley, Sears, Sheppard, Vickers, Barker, Howell, Robertson, Kiester

God bless!
