I have been doing genealogy for over 20years, beginning with my own. I was orphaned at 3 years old and didn't know anything at all about my mother's side of the family. I didn't know anything about my father's side, except his birthdate, death date, death place, and name.

In approximately a year and a half, i was able to trace my father's roots back to 1625 Germany, and my mother's side to the Trail of Tears to what is now Vinita, OK.

I am now helping my fiance' track his roots. His father's surname is Timmons and his mother's is Kessler.
