My name is Timothy Gunnison. I have found several family names that in my family line goes back to the 1600's. The names that I follow are Hugh Gunnison, Jasper Griffing, Pelton, Heller, Hoover, Schooner and a line that comes from the Koehler family.
In my search I found I was lacking photographs of some of my Grandparents from the 1900's which puzzle me, it seems that if the wife were photographed that the husband would have also had photos. It is a great thing, at least to me to have a photograph to see what your grandparents looked like.
On the Gunnison side, My great great grandmother Flora Griffing who married Jay Hoyt Gunnison (of which I have photos) but of their son I don't have any. My great grandfather, son of Flora and Jay Hoyt Gunnison was Harry Averill Gunnison who married Adelaide White Wood. I have a picture of my Grandfather Armon P. Gunnison as a young man in a Police uniform in the yard of their home with his mother Adelaide and her mother Jane Wood a descendant of Abner Wood of Sodus Point, N.Y.
I tried to stay on Ancestry . com but I just couldn't afford the dues. So, I had to drop out, and forfeit my access to many of the photo's and the ability to freely search.
I am in search for any of the Photos that connect me with the other family names as well, some I have and some I don't.
