Bio

I compile biographies for my memorials as best I can because of my interest in history. Also, I am learning German and maintaining French, so in trying to compile biographies I am also building my own skills (a little bit).

I started with relatives' biographies (some of them, extended-family relatives!) and in doing that I often notice people whose stories and circumstances seem to me to be worth making known. I love history :-) and I really do believe that we (can) learn from it.

Many of the memorials I do are for people who almost certainly never had a regular obituary, maybe not a service, a chance to say goodbye, or (in many cases) much chance at being remembered. I don't know if there's any merit attached to this, but I find it satisfying.

I strive for accuracy and completeness but this is not always easy. Any mistakes or omissions are unintentional. If you have a correction or other edit for one of my memorials, please feel free to send it. Also, I try to cite published sources as needed when they are made known to me.

Happy to answer questions about any of my memorials and (per Find-A-Grave policy) if any of my memorials are your relatives, I will happily transfer management if asked.

Thanks.
