Bio

Fraser Laschinger was born in Montreal on May 24, 1947. He was educated at Lower Canada College, McGill University and Osgoode Hall Law School. His career was with the Canadian Government, in the Dept. of Industry, Trade and commerce, Dept. of Finance and Dept. of External Affairs as a trade negotiator. He studied art as a child under Arthur Lismer at the Montreal Museum of Fine Art and later at LCC and McGill. Today he still draws and paints. He is a member of the Grenville County Historical Society and sits on a number of boards including the St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival, the St. Lawrence Academy (Chair), and the Prescott Cemetery Board of Management (Chair).
