Bio

I live Indianapolis, but hometown is Louisville, KY. I am a widowed and retired physician/scientist. My main objective is my surname line Evans. About 99% of the recorded records of our Evans linage is wrong as has been long suspected. DNA and Y-Chromosome confirm my family is the Butler Co KY Evans line (Christopher Evans b 1725 Wales), and not the Whitesville Davis Co (Jordan Andrew Evans b 1779 NC). There were multiple marriages between the 2 unrelated families, and at times and places in history they lived in the same communities, and worked together., giving opportunity for great confusion. Sometime in the late 1800s, attempts were made to reconstruct trees probably lost in the Civil War burnings. Mostly they tried to make it all one Evans line. DNA and ethnicity patterns are distinct between the 2 families, and those living cousins descended from Evans Evans marriages I can confirm links to both families. Willing to continue helping others with what I have, and have not learned. I support Eastern Cemetery in Louisville, where I have relatives from both sides of my family among the 100,000 plus unmarked graves.
