John Hawkins, 18 in 1958. My grandfather died at the Somme, 1915. My maternal grandfather lost a leg at Ypres. My mother’s cousin, pilot, died in the Battle of Britain aged 20. My father died in NAfrica 1944. L/Stoker (LCT) R Navy.
They made the ultimate sacrifice for us - RIP - Never forgotten.
