We have been concentrating our efforts on Mother of God Cemetery in Kenton Vale, Kenton County, Ky. for a few years. Many of the sections have had one round of photos loaded. See list below for status by section.

We work on MoG requests frequently. There are many factors that can cause a request to remain open. Multiple volunteers have worked on the older requests. I have worked through the older ones myself several times.

We have photographed the entire sections listed below, but have NOT cross referenced most of the section with lot cards. There are likely burials that are unmarked. This is a huge back fill project that will need tackled after a first round of the entire cemetery is completed.

Now that the cemetery's website has begun placing the burial records online, I am checking Find A Grave records against that website. I'll note which sections have been cross referenced and back filled with missing memorials.

11-8-22 All buildings have been photographed and cross checked with cemetery website. I will try to keep up with new additions, however it is taking a while for some monuments and plaques to be updated with death dates. Whole markers are taking a year plus in many cases.

11-8-22 Chapel Risen Christ - Columbarium has been photographed (10-24-22) and all memorials added/verfied, some edits still pending. I will back fill more personal info as time allows.
The photography was difficult because of the very low lighting inside the building as well as the reflectivity of the metallic plaques. Some will be more angular and not as detailed as I would have liked. Once I have them all cropped & labeled I will see what needs re-photographed. I was told there is a planned expansion that will add columbarium niches to the right side of the building. There currently only three walls of niches on the left side. Eventually there will be niches added to both sides of inside entrance walls as well. This buildings niches are made of wood.

Cemetery Update Oct 24th -- Six new Rose Garden Columbariums have been installed, the surrounding concrete is being poured. The first entombments have already been done.

Sec 16 Singles photo'd 7/28/2022. All memorials have been checked against the cemetery's website burials on record as of 8/9/2022. Missing memorials have been created. We will need to go back through a retake some missing photos.
