Bio

My primary lines of research are the Abbott and Gray families who emigrated to South Australia from England. Giles and Sarah Abbott came from Burton Latimer, Northamptonshire in 1836 on board HMS Buffalo and Isaac and Sarah Gray came from Thornford, Dorset in 1863 on board Adament.

My other lines of research are the Starkey family who emigrated to Western Australia from Lincolnshire, England in 1911 and the Battle family who emigrated to Western Australia from Essex, England in 1921.

Also the Appelbee family who emigrated to South Australia from Berkshire, England in 1863 and the Norrish family who arrived in Tasmania from Ireland in 1841 and eventually settled in Kojonup, Western Australia in 1847. I also research the Holland family from Yeovil, Somerset, England.

I am also interested in researching family members involved in World War 1.

All cemetery photos I have added to Find a Grave have been taken by myself .

I do submit quite a few edits to update accuracy of my family members and are grateful for fellow Find a Grave members who follow up on them.

In managing memorials which have been returned to Find a Grave I will endeavor to update details which are missing and provide any informative information. (I have now ceased researching and writing bios on memorials because of individuals who have been adding long, laborious, difficult to read, long winded newspaper cuttings to memorials as photos after I have gone to the trouble to research and write a bio for the memorial).

Please note I do not accept 'suggest edits' for memorials created with the cemetery/burial site unknown.
