My name is Lynn Chaney and I am originally from Jeanerette, LA. My wife of 48 years was Gertrude Derise who also grew up in the Jeanerette area. She passed away in 2013 and is buried in the Beau Pre Cemetery. We both attended Jeanerette High School and graduated in the Class of 1961. I am very familiar with this area and will try to help anyone with pictures of their loved ones in most of the area Cemeteries. Most of our family members are buried in the Jeanerette-New Iberia Area. My Grandfather was Edgar Lincoln Chaney, Sr. who was married to Mable Ring was Mayor of Jeanerette for 5 Terms and my Great Grandfather George H. Ring was also Mayor of Jeanerette. My father was Edgar L. Chaney, Jr who was the manager of Teche Electric Co-Op for many years.
