My family's genealogy is filled with memories of our relatives, and the years they invested in our lives. They taught us about respecting our heritage, faith in Christ, practicing that faith, and the importance of establishing our Godly marriage and family.

My wife and I are so blessed to have been married 46 years. We were raised by devoted parents here in Texas. We have close relationships with our sisters, too.

Both of our extended families were large. We knew grandparents, aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles, great-great aunts, cousins, and carloads of other relatives who frequented family reunions, graduations, weddings, and funerals. Many of them are still living and thriving with their own families.

God blessed us with our children -- now married and parents of their children, our grandchildren!

Daddy seriously pursued his family genealogy. He documented generations of family members during his retirement years until he died in 2002. Now that I have access to Findagrave.com and Ancestry.com, I plan to update our family memorials with his documents and documents found on trusted sites online.

I consider it a way to honor his memory and my wife's family as this project carries forward.
