I am a direct descendant of Samuel Scripture, the progenitor of the New England Scriptures. He is my 7th Great-grandfather who settled in Groton Massachusetts Bay Colony circa 1667. He served in King Philip's War I with his friend Samuel Davis. I am a member of the SAR and deeply interested in New England colonial and American history. I attend to my parents', grandparents' and their relatives' graves in Connecticut and Massachusetts as time allows. My wife (Carmen Cuevas-Scripture) and I continue to research and expand the family's genealogical story.
