Bio
I became interested or obsessed with the civil war soldiers of Wisconsin after working on a project for the Historical Society for the mostly rural township I grew up in. I was astounded to find so many more deaths during this war than World War ll. The population at that time was less than 1/3 of what it was in the early 1940's. I have a site on Facebook called "Wisconsin Volunteers 1861-1865". I have come up with only about 2,000 portraits in two years. Where have they all gone. If only half of the soldiers had a photo made there where at one time at least 45,000 in existence. My mission is to keep hunting and appreciate all the help I can get. By putting them on findagrave I think they will be well preserved.
