My name is Rick, and I became interested in genealogy and finding family history several years ago, as neither of my families had much information on their history and ancestors. What was available was fairly inaccurate and incomplete. I was initially surprised at the amount of incorrect information I found on several ancestry sites including, Find a Grave.

It has been difficult to get information corrected on most sites. Some people will copy anything without even verifying any information and then believe it to be correct because it is on the site.

I am willing to assist in getting any information locally for people from other areas. To assist them in getting accurate information. I am located in Sangamon County, Illinois, however, I will travel to surrounding counties, when possible, for photographs.
