Bio

I have always been interested in American history and geography. Although fascinated with the stories of the first English settlers, I never imagined that my ancestors were among the Quakers who accompanied William Penn to America. My 7th great grandfather, Michael Harlan and his brother, George, were among the first to settle in Chester County, Pennsylvania, also known as Penn's Woods, in 1687. It is still a beautiful part of the country and I was fortunate enough to be born and raised in West Chester, Chester County.
