Bio

Retired RN. Went back to school in my mid-thirties for nursing education and license. It was the best decision I ever made! I loved the decades I spent nursing.

I am a DAR member in my local community.

Family: I am blessed to have nearly all my family within an hour from myself. 2 children -8 grandchildren - 6 great-grandchildren (all from oldest 2 granddaughters!) When my mom was still alive we could have 5 generations under one roof at holiday meals. Wow!

Genealogy: As with many, I didn't become enthused until later in my life. So it has been about 20-30 years now. My primary interests are in New York, Massachusettes, Rhode Island, Virginia and North Carolina. My mother's lineage of the Paddocks and the Wordens go back [in this country] to the early 1600s. And I can go back to 0800 in Europe on both those sides. Wow again!
Family names are too many to say so I will just say Paddock, Worden, Espelund (Norwegian), Brockwell, Harrington. And yes, a few came over on the Mayflower like Brewster and Doty.

My intention here and with my genealogy is to help my family and other families somehow connect with their ancestors when and if they desire. We are not entirely whole without our roots, branches, and leaves.
