I am the youngest daughter of Bertha Elizabeth Newell born in Whitman, MA in 1913. Her parents were William Oran Newell and Nancy Goodwin of Argyle Sound, Nova Scotia. My oldest sister started doing our family genealogy decades ago and now I am filling in the blanks with photos, dates, documents and stories. After doing my Ancestry DNA and seeing the connection with so many familiar names, it was time to start my version of the family tree. It is fascinating, confusing and mind boggling with the number of family members that keep growing. Being able to trace back so many decades and connecting the dots is helping me understand where I came from. These pioneers paved the way for us all.
