On the Rickman side, my roots run rather deep in the county and surrounding areas. I have an interest in genealogy and local history in general. However, my primary interest is in the Rickman line, and the families who married into it. For me, these include the Hindmon (some members spelled it Hindman), Erwin, Childers, Hopkins and Joyner families. Most of these lines have lived in the area of McNairy, Hardin, and Hardeman Counties in West Tennessee; Tishomingo, Benton, Tippah and Alcorn Counties in Mississippi; and Lauderdale County Alabama. The Rickman and Erwin lines relocated out of North Carolina to the area. Feel free to contact me with corrections or transfer requests. If it is about corrections, I might have follow up questions. If it is about a transfer, I have a pretty liberal policy. If you are a relative within the site's policy guidelines, and I am not, I will of course transfer as quickly as possible. If you are a relative, but outside of the guidelines I will most likely transfer anyway.
