I am a professional and dedicated independent Military Researcher and Battlefield Guide based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, specialising in genealogically inspired tours to the battlefields of the Great War Western Front.
I began studying the Great War Battlefields in 1990 when I was a soldier in the British Army and began providing the units that I served with educational tours of the battlefields to share the knowledge and experience I had accumulated. I now divide my time between genealogical military research, tracing war-time experiences of the relatives of clients, and guiding clients across the Western Front battlefields of the Great War, often combining the two into a tour of the ground where their relation served. My own research projects centre around the Territorial Force Battalions of the West Yorkshire Regiment.
