Bio

Born in 1965 and raised in Chicago Illinois with 6 other siblings, 5 brothers and 1 sister. I'm sure one can understand, when I say, "I was such a tomboy growing up". I couldn't allow some of my brothers to out do me.
Family, minus father, moved to Coldiron, Harlan County, Ky. in 1979 to care for my grandmother, Alkie Skidmore Brock. What a drastic change from a big city to the backwoods country. It was great though, getting to know all the near and distant kin I had here. Brock, Skidmore, Blanton, Wright.
Graduated high school and vocational school here in 1983.
In the summer of 1983, the family moved to Berea, Ky., Madison County. A happy medium between city and a backwoods country. Here in Madison County, I have stayed. Married in 1988 and still married to Artie Jacob Alexander. We've raised our 2 daughters here, Natasha and Breanna Alexander. My husband is also from a big family with 8 other siblings. His people, Alexander, Radar, Isaack, and Lamb. We bought a couple of acres, in 1999, on Alexander Road. Within 50 yards from the home he was born and raised in. Ancestral lands that's been in the Alexander families for 4 generations now. My husband making the 4th generation. Here, on these lands, is where we will be buried, When our time comes. The Preston Alexander Cemetery.
