Bio

I've been tracing my own family tree since the mid 1990s, mostly in the Manchester & Salford area, where I was born and brought up. After a working life as a research scientist, mostly in Oxford University, I moved to Bristol on retirement, and live 50 yards from St Andrews old cemetery in Clifton - so I'm concentrating on photographing and listing the graves there.

Have a look at https://FriendsofBirdcageWalk.org.uk for more on the history of St Andrews church and the graves.

All the gravestones listed in Campbell's "Memorials in the church and churchyard of St Andrew's, Clifton" which can be located are now on Findagrave, with GPS; but there are many other names listed in the burial registers whose location is unknown.
