Bio

I am retired due to CoVid 19. I worked for a local ice cream co. for over 30 years until I was stricken will it.
I have been married to my beautiful wife of close to 37 years, & a wonderful son who usually accompanies me on my journeys to do research.
A few year ago, my son & I were walking thru a cemetery in Harrisburg PA, not to far from our home in Highspire.
We were looking at different headstones when we came a cross a Medal of Honor recipient from the Civil War.
His name is Michael Madden of Co. K OF THE 42ND N.Y. INFANTRY.
He died and is buried in a Harrisburg Cemetery with no recognition, except for the government issued flat marker in front of his headstone.
In the year of 2022, I decided to start doing research of M.O.H. recipients from PENNSYLVANIA.
I believe there are close to 300 recipients from Pennsylvania alone from the Civil War.
So cemeteries are hard to find & get into. Some graves are hard to find as well. If there not over grown with weeds from neglect.
