I joined Find a Grave in 2021 after discovering family members I did not even know existed. A kind Find A Grave volunteer had adopted a neglected cemetery in New York State and posted memorials. I was so blown away by this discovery - based on an act of kindness - that I decided that I would also volunteer.

Since then, I have become passionate about documenting markers in cemeteries by either starting memorials or adding to them. I especially like adding GPS markers so that others may more easily find loved ones. This passion has also led me to frequently visit the county historical museum to look through family archives. This has opened a whole new world to me.

I welcome suggested edits. I am happy to turn memorials over to family members as requested.
