Bio

I have been photographing graves for over 10 years, from the rolling prairies of North Dakota, to the rocky landings of New England, to the widespread swamps of Florida, and a few locations in between.

My love of cemeteries began at a young age from regular wanders through the grounds, and it expanded after the loss of schoolmates, friends, and family. This interest also naturally tied in with my history research hobbies, which provided an excellent foundation for understanding the history of burial grounds and the interred. A portion of my work is shared on Instagram (@spookyscaryscientist), but platform limitations have fueled my desire to expand my work and help others via Find A Grave's searchable database.

I use both professional and amateur photography equipment, depending on the project and planning. I am more than happy to volunteer my photography upon request.
