I am new to Find a Grave. My Mother and her oldest Brother did a lot of work on our family lineage. After their passing, nothing was done to follow up on what they had done. It all sat dormant for many years. When I retired in 2008, I basically took it as a hobby but quickly gathered more than I had expected. It was enlightening to find ancestors that were very interesting. I wrote the paternal and maternal lineage I had identified and compiled supporting documents into binders for the next generation to have. I also created a family tree on Ancestry.com. Recently a friend and fellow retiree introduced me to Find a Grave. Thank you for everything you all have done.
