They call me Willy with a whY?™ ;-)
aka: The Prophet Willy™ (a speaker for the Philosophy of Truth)
I was born in Kirksville, Missouri (Adair County), grew up in Moberly, Missouri (Randolph County), spent many years living in Columbia, Missouri (Boone County) and several years along the Gulf Coast in the Mobile, Alabama and Pensacola, Florida areas, on over to a brief time in Mexico Beach & Panama City areas of Florida.
I have several family lines that homesteaded here in Randolph County, Missouri. For example, my Duncan family line goes clear back to my great-great-great grandparents, buried in Fairview Cemetery in South Randolph County on up to people that settled in North Randolph County, where Duncan's Bridge is names after some of my kin.
Among some of the surnames in this area that I am related to are: Duncan, Hendren (Herndon, Herndron), Kanatzer (Knorster, Conaster, etc.), Russ (originally the French name Rouille'), Robertson and many others.
My step-grandfather was Benjamin William Shackelford, a long time school teacher in Moberly. He, and his wife, my paternal grandmother, Frances Ann (Blanks - Baronian) Shackelford, were both born and raised in Meridian, Mississippi. My father was born Richard Baronian, but changed his own name to Richard Baronian Shackelford, as he was raised by Ben.
My father's biological father, Theodore (Ted) Keram Baronian, was Armenian, having escaped from the Armenian Holocaust of 1915 with his parents, Jacob and Agovni Baronian. They settled in Providence, Rhode Island. Ted worked with jewelry in New York City. My father, Richard Baronian (Shackelford) was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1939.
My mother was born Sharon Lynn Robertson, in 1943.
My maternal grandmother was Lorene Alice (Hendren) Robertson (died at age 27), who married William Russ Robertson and bore two children - my mother and her brother, Dennis Wayne Robertson (died at age 35).
My maternal maternal grandparents were William Shelby Hendren & Odessa Mae (Duncan) Hendren. William Shelby Hendren lived to be 100 years old - they are both buried in Oakland Cemetery, Moberly, Randolph County, Missouri.
So, I am an AMERICAN MUTT, having bloodlines from Armenia, Ireland, Scotland, England, Germany and France - and who knows what else? ;-)
