The names, lives, families, businesses, and communities of millions of Americans who spent generations building and maintaining the United States have never been spoken aloud.
Some were only written once.
But, their names did not die with them... They can be found in the context of their communities.
They can be found in the stones of our remaining Historically Black Cemeteries.
Finding and Restoring Grave Markers is the first step in reclaiming American History.

SOAL's work at Lincoln Cemetery will accelerate regional black family history research, and connect descendants with their ancestors. The stories that are unearthed, when we recognize and care for these memorials to the dead, instill awe and wonder in all who hear them. The lives of Our Ancestors give us JOY. They give us the power to RISE.

This is a grassroots, descendant and community-based effort. We appreciate your support, immensely.

--Spring-Fall
--Friday-Sunday
--Noon-Dusk.
