Bio

My profile picture is of my mom, Madalyn Tayler. I am the daughter of William Donald Tayler and Madalyn Mardell Tayler, (Willmar, Mn.), lifetime sweethearts and married partners. I am the granddaughter of Sidney Arthur Tayler and Mary Christina McNair Tayler(who died in 1952, the year before I was born). She was a wet nurse for 3 other infants in her neighborhood, as she had enough breastmilk for all of them, plus her own. I am the stepgrandaughter of Dora McCarl Tayler, who married my grandpa Sid Tayler, after they met at the Thrifty Drug lunch counter in downtown Willmar and courted. She was a terrific lady. I am the niece of Arthur McNair Tayler, who died while flying a test plane for the military, just before Pearl Harbor.
Because of my sister Bonnie (Tayler) Nelson, my dad was not allowed to see my mom for the last 3 years of his life. This is why I posted my mom's picture on my profile here...to honor their marriage from 1944 to 2013 when my dad died. So future generations and the public will know the real story. My mom wasn't even given my dad's US flag from his casket, during his military funeral....Bonnie's son got it. That's just not right. My mom was very sad she did not receive it. My mom died March 9, 2022 and is buried at Cloverleaf Cemetery, on the opposite end of Willmar from Lakeview. I hope nothing like this ever happens to anyone else.
