I've been researching my family since my grandmother told me about her grandfather's service in the Union Army, which sent me to the National Archives to find out more.
I'm currently looking for more background on the Lemon (or the various iterations, Lehman, Layman, Lemmon), Cain, Pribble, Deem, Tingler, Valentine, Gilliland, Kyle, and Thomas families of West Virginia.
If anyone has any more information about those families please let me know.
