Bio

Hi, I began my ancestry family research journey in 2011, after my Mom passed away. I've found Find-a-Grave records to be an incredibly helpful resource! I have a huge respect, and gratitude, for all of the volunteer contributors who give of their time, and work to that end! I became a Find-a-Grave member in 2023 to hopefully help others by adding info and photos I've acquired via my research. I'm in Saskatchewan, Canada and found some headstone photos from prior Saskatchewan Cemetery Project sites are unfortunately no longer there. I find it to be amazingly rewarding to be able to connect family members… "Without them we couldn't exist, so we love each one, as far back as we can reach, that we might remember them. So we do, with love, caring, scribing each fact of their existence."

Research Interests ~ "Simle Family Tree"…
Simle / Hippe / Talbot / Murphy
Semle/Hippe Farms, Ulnes, Norway; Mechinoch, N.D., USA;
Dubuc, SK.; Eramosa, Wellington, ON., Canada; and Ireland.

Hill / Willis / May / Gray /
Spreyton, Devon / St. Ippollitts, England;
Imperial, Saskatchewan, Canada

Williams / Latimer / Paterson / Johnstone
Dumfries, Scotland; Wilkie, SK., Canada

Barrie / Gibbie / Hodgson / Tickner
Ireland; Scotland; ON.; Tugaske, SK., Canada

"The Story Tellers"~ Ancestors Poem (excerpts) …"In each family there is one who seems called to find the ancestors, to put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story, and to feel that somehow they know and approve. Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but breathing life into all who have gone before.

It goes beyond just documenting facts. It goes to who I am, and why I do the things I do. It goes to pride in what our ancestors were able to accomplish and how they contributed to what we are today. It goes to respecting their hardships and losses, their never giving in or giving up, and their resoluteness to go on and build a life for their family."

… "Without them we could not exist, and so we love each one, as far back as we can reach, that we might be born who we are, that we might remember them. So we do, with love and caring, and scribing each fact of their existence, because we are they, and they are the sum of who we are. And to make them live again, to tell the family story, and to feel that somehow they know and approve"…
So, I scribe, I tell the story of my family…

HOURS of RESEARCHING: COUNTLESS?!…
The JOY of DISCOVERY is: PRICELESS!!

Thank you!
