I wish I had known about this site years ago~ I love finding out history on my family and my husband's......Reichelt, Frisby, Wanken, Vincent, Sandness, Carver, Favre, Schultz, Kummrow, Goodsell and Schermerhorn to name a few. I am also excited to be able to help others with pictures of gravestones. I am still learning on how and where to go for finding information for the memorials I have, if you have any advise for me....I will accept the help. Thank you~~
I came across this poem and felt it very appropriate for here:

Dear Ancestor
Your tombstone stands among the rest; neglected and alone,
The name and date are chiseled out on polished marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care, it is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist. You died and I was born.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse entirely not our own.
Dear ancestor, the place you filled one hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left,
who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved. I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot and come to visit you.
