In my family history research, I find useful information through "Find A Grave," and am a photo volunteer to help others. Living in NW Washington state, I volunteer at cemeteries within a one hour driving distance. My photography skills and computer knowledge are good. I enjoy traveling. In January 2024, I began doing volunteer photo work. I quickly discovered that some cemetery managers are helpful, others are not. My advice to people who want to request a photo is to look at the list of requests. If there are requests from several years ago, it may indicate that there is no volunteer OR the cemetery manager is not cooperating.

Any memorial with no plot info requires help from the cemetery manager. I'm always grateful when they help.
