Bio

I'm one of the de la Fontaine / Fontaine / Fountain descendants, a descendant of Huguenots. I know the male line of my 'de la Fontaine' ancestry back to Jean de la Fontaine, & I know most of the names of the wives / mothers. The genealogy that I have says Jean de la Fontaine married in the early 1400s (so he would've been born in the 1300s or 1400s), & his descendants were the two dad-&-son James Fontaine pastors. According to that genealogy: Jacques (James) de la Fontaine, born in 1549, was my 10th great-granddad, & his son, Rev. James Fontaine, born in 1603 in Rochelle, France, was my 9th great-granddad. (In other words, I'm a great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-granddaughter of his.) The son of he & Marie Chaillon was the (2nd) Rev. James Fontaine, born on 4/7/1658, who was my 8th great-granddad.

Willie Spain Fountain (born Willie Spain Zipperer) was my great-grandmom. I know the names of all her children. Her daughter Blanche (born Blanche Mae Fountain) was my beloved grandmom, who I knew. I'm interested in finding out the who, what, where, when, & how of the lives of our de la Fontaine / Fontaine / Fountain family. I'd like to fill in missing genealogical & biographical pieces including at least the names of any wives & children that are missing from what I currently know, which would also include any children adopted by our ancestors & would include (but not necessarily be limited to) at least the years & towns or cities of their birth, marriage, & death. For ex., who was the mother of Arthur's son, Gilles? Was it Catherine or Susanne? Most of the names of the children of the couples are Unknown to me because I mostly know the name of just 1 child of each couple, the 1 who grew up to be my ancestor. I'd like to know the names of my direct ancestors' siblings, too, whenever possible. Any hello's, genealogical or biographical info, & images/portraits connected to the family are welcome.
