Cieneguitas Cemetery (AKA La Patera, Old Catholic, and Goleta Cemeteries)

Land donated by Thomas Hope in 1873 to the Catholic Church, this cemetery was closed in 1896 and abandoned by the Catholic Church when Calvary Cemetery on Hope Avenue was opened. About 18 Civil War veterans are still buried there. Many of the over 1200 burials were moved to Calvary in the 1900s.
