William B. Stiff b. 1823 in Bedford County, Virginia, married Rachel Ann Webb 4 Feb 1844, he disappeared between 1850 and 1860 - Family Story is that he left home one evening to play for a dance across the river. He was never heard from again. Death and burial place unknown - Possibly Kentucky, maybe Ohio or the Ohio River.
