Vardy Cemetery

VARDY CEMETERY Hancock Co. Tennessee The first known body interred here was that of Lambert Collins on 441870, (died in a wagon wreck). When the cemetery was started land was owned by Wilson Miser, who then sold the land to Howard Collins. Later owners were Logan and Nancy Miser, On April 6, 1926, Logan and Nancy Miser deeded the one half acre cemetery to the Board of National Missions, Presbyterian Church. Most of the people buried here are my direct lineal decendants of the first settlers, Vardy Collins and Shepherd Gibson.
