This virtual cemetery includes graves from any Faucon, descendant or spouse related to Nicolas Joseph Faucon from Masnuy-St-Jean, Hainault, Belgium, his son Felicien from Masnuy-St-Pierre, his grandsons Alphonse, Edouard, Camille from Erbisoeul, their children who emigrated to the United States between 1880 and 1900. Almost all of those who emigrated headed at first for Roanoke, Woodford, Illinois, to work as coalminers along with their spouses and families. The name Faucon was often distorted as Fancon resulting from a misterpretation of handwriting, more rarely distorted to Favcon.
