Alexander Family of Arkansas and Oklahoma

William Alexander son of Anthony Alexander left Marshall County Alabama in spring of 1867 following one of the routes used in removing the Cherokee from North Alabama to the new Indian Territories of the west. They settled in Independance County Arkansas in the 1870's. The 1880 Census showed they had moved across the state to Crawford County. Finally they ended journey in Chicasaw Indian Territory which is present day Garvin County Oklahoma.
