Sarah (Wray) Peterson 71, died suddenly Wednesday morning at the home of her daughter Mrs. Ted Fogt at 316 South Plum St. in Grand Island where she had been visiting.Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Higby Mortuary in Aurora with the Dr. Paul B. Porter of Hastings officiating. Interment will be in the Aurora cemetery.Visitation hours will be held from 7 to 9 Friday evening at the mortuary.Mrs. Peterson was born at Belfast Ireland on Aug. 15,1889. When 19 she came to the United States and to Omaha where she lived three years before coming to Aurora.On March 2, 1914 she married Alfred L. Peterson. They farmed south of Aurora at that time and has lived here since.Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Jackie Fogt of Grand Island; two sons Alfred "Bus" Peterson of Grand Island and Robert Peterson of Blue Hill: two step sons, Ray of Marina, Calif. and Clarence of Aurora; six grand children, three great grand children and several nieces and nephews.Aurora News-Register May 26, 1961 Page 1, column 2
