Charles was laid to rest at Sumner Cemetery, Atlanta, Tipton County, Indiana in an unmarked grave..The write up in the paper reads as follows:DEATH OF A BOY.Ten-Year-Old Boy the victim of Typhoid Fever.Charles Dwight Tomlinson. The ten year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Tomlinson, of Atlanta, died Saturday evening at about 6o'clock of typhoid fever.The boy had been sick for about three weeks and while he made a gallant fight for life, the fever was too strong for him and he wasted away until death came to him. He is survived by his parents, five brothers and five sisters, one brother being dead. The funeral will be held on Monday, at 2 o'clock at the Wesleyan church, the Rev. Frank Brown, officiating. The burial will be at the Sumner Cemetery.
