The news paper write up of Mark Steven Stringfellow's death.Death place Dallas VA,Jan 23rd 2003.a mistake in the write up said that he was on the Black Night Team but it was the Army Golden Knight Team.In his later years of his career of the Army he was a Army recriter and earned the highest metal of the Golden Badge and was invited to the White House for a dinner for this accomplishment.Mark and his 1st wife Nancy Stringfellow were the 1st husband and wife recruiter team.He was a Non-Commissionable Officer in the USA Army and earned many metals and ribbons along with a Purple HeartHe was born at the Perrin Air Force Base where his Father William (Bill) married his Mother Barbara Castleberry and traveled the world while his Father served as a pilot of many planes in the Air Force and 1 being the B-58 Hustler, being the 1st plane to fly the speed of twice the speed of sound and retired as a Lt Col.While his Father was station in Africa Mark learned to swim in the Mediterranean Sea but his favorites stories to tell was about getting to spend many summers with his Grand Father Castleberry in Sherman Tx and fishing at Lake Texoma Lake.He had a heart of Gold and would help anyone he could and knew many people nor never met a stranger.No one is perfect but this man was my world and I will honor him till Im layed down beside himMark Stringfellow had 2 daughters from his 1st marriage Nancy Jo Rugh and 3 sons by his 2nd marriage.He has 5 Grand children and soon to have 2 Great Grand children.His stories will last me a life time and Ive never known of a man who loved my children,Grand children and family like they were his blood kin and they all loved him very much.He is deeply missed by all
