MS. FRANCES TILLMAN WALLFrances Tillman Wall was born October 2, 1932 to the late Jean Tillman and the late James Davis of Norwood, North Carolina. She was raised by Jim and Nis Wall of Norwood, North Carolina.She was preceded in death by her children: Gilbert Watkins, Sharon Davis, Evelyn McLendon and Donald Wall.Frances was a faithful member of Bennettsville AME Zion Church of Norwood, North Carolina where she served on the Usher Board, as a Class Leader, and a member of the Kitchen Staff.Left to cherish her loving memories are two daughters: Bessie M. Watkins of Norwood, North Carolina and Janet (Earl) Patterson of Norwood, North Carolina. Her significant other, Norman Watkins. One sister, Dorothy (Marvin) Bates of Thomasville, North Carolina. One aunt, Mae Morrison of Albemarle, North Carolina. One son-in-law, Jessie McLendon. Special caretaker and grandson, Tony (Treva) Watkins. Eleven (11) grandchildren, thirty (30) great grandchildren and eleven (11) great-great grandchildren. God children, Joann (Freddrick) Little, Joyce Baldwin (Chip), John (Barbara) Hansley, Baxter Allen, Gail Clark. Special friends, Bobby (Cathren) Barringer, Jack (Emma) Hutchinson, Creola and Dot Clark. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.The Homegoing Celebration for Ms. Wall will be on Tuesday, November 10, 2015, 1:00pm, Bennettsville AME Zion Church, Norwood, North Carolina. Burial will follow in the family plot of the church cemetery. The Wall Family will greet family and friends on Tuesday from 12:30-1:00pm at the church.
