Cordie -Cordelia Alice Montfort was the daughter of George Drane Montfort & his first wife, Sarah Elizabeth "Bettie" Johnston Montfort who had 4children. My grandfather, Benjamin LaMaster Montfort was only 15 months old when his mother, Bettie, died. George Drane married again, Flora Vories. Flora had two children, Elizabeth "Aunt Bettie" & Arthur Garfield. After Flora died George married again, Caroline Ransdell, who had more children. These four were all 2nd cousins and all lived in nearby Campbellsburg. These are my close relatives. Ben was my grandfather and lived with my family after his wife died. My mother, Cordelia Alice (named after the sis of my granddad Ben) was an only child.
