View from across W. Mahanoy Ave. AKA the High Road of (Old) Saint Joseph's Cemetery, Girardville, too overgrown to get into at this point. Hasn't been cleared in untold yrs., presently POSTED to trespassing due to it's condition/vandalism. Hazardous walking through out and highly overgrown, nature has reclaimed much of this cem dotted w/memorials, it is rather large w/several false flats walking up/across it's hillside. Cleared footpaths at best. Medal of Honor recipient right in front about halfway in from corner brick fence marker (shown), there is an entry here barely seen along overgrown fence. Main wooden rr tie step entry shown forground left is eroded or covered over just off highway. Small place to park next to narrow 2 way heavily travelled road. It gets multiple lg. coal truck traffic daily both directions besides normal traffic patterns. St. Joseph Fountain Springs is the newer cem associated w/this one and Ashland-Girardville areas.
